As the end of 2017 draws near, we’ve been reflecting on our highlights as a company over the past year. By far, our greatest joy was partnering with our friends at Make-A-Wish Minnesota to grant wishes for local children and families facing big challenges.

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of meeting a fantastic nine-year-old named Matt and his sweet family. After being diagnosed with brain cancer, Matt’s past year has been spent in and out of hospitals and chemo treatments.

Recently, Matt and his family received amazing news: his last scans were clear! It was our honor to help them celebrate by surprising Matt with a trip to Legoland California. We don’t think there was a dry eye in the house when Matt’s Lego and gift card scavenger hunt ended with the big reveal.

To give you an even clearer picture of how special this family is, in the midst of their hard year, they’ve decided to pay it forward. They want other people to experience the power of giving this Christmas and will be buying gifts for hospitalized children instead of buying each other presents. What a beautiful example of generosity and Christmas spirit!

Is there any better way to summarize our Santa event than with the photo above? This time of year is full of holiday magic; and honestly, is there anyone who represents Christmas wonder more than Santa himself?

One of the biggest joys of celebrating Christmas as a parent is reliving it through the eyes of your children. We love doing our part to spread holiday cheer with this annual event; we look forward to this tradition each year.

Last weekend, our team hosted 21 families with 41 children,
served 35 warm cookies,
toasted with 22 cups of cider,
donated 23 gifts to Toys for Tots,
and created countless priceless memories.

Thank you to everyone who came by to visit, take a photo with Santa (thanks, Grupa Portrait Studio!), and donate toys to Minnesota children in need. We’re grateful to kickoff the Christmas season with such generosity and joy.

It may only be mid-November, but our Custom One team is already getting into the Christmas spirit! This year, we decided to combine two of our favorite parts of the holiday season, giving back and family traditions.

Our business would be nothing without our dear clients and friends. To express our heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing support, we’re hosting our annual Santa Open House once again.

All are welcome to bring their children or grandchildren to meet Santa and gather together over warm cookies and spiced apple cider! We want you to relax and enjoy the holiday magic, so don’t worry about taking photos. Our friends from Grupa Portrait Studio will be there to take complimentary professional shots of your little ones whispering their wish-list in Santa’s ear.

To continue spreading the Christmas joy, we invite each of you to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots. Custom One is proud to be an official Toys for Tots drop-off site this year, and help countless children in our community have a truly Merry Christmas. If you don’t remember to bring a gift to the Santa Open House, don’t worry! You can also drop-off toys at our office from November 20th through December 20th.

Nestled among mature trees and a storied, state-of-the-art golf course, Custom One Homes is happy to introduce a vibrant new family community, The Royal Club. Formerly Tartan Park Golf Course, this Lake Elmo gem has legendary origins. Renamed The Royal Club to honor a King and Queen of their sport, the front nine holes were designed by Annika Sorenstam, while the back nine holes are the last created by the one and only, Arnold Palmer.

Believe it or not, this Saturday, September 9th, is already the opening of the Fall 2017 Parade of Homes. After months of preparation and planning, we can’t wait to get things rolling and start sharing our models!

Of the three homes we’re featuring this fall, we might be most excited about this elegant Woodbury traditional. (We reserve the right to change our minds and say that about the other two homes as well!)

What a day! Thursday, July 27th our team gathered with 152 golfers and 28 volunteers for a day on the links. The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful, and our crew was game to have fun raising money for a good cause!

By the end of our tournament, silent auction, raffle, and delicious dinner together we raised an astonishing $41,000 for our friends at Make-A-Wish! We were also able to grant a fourteen-year-old young man’s wish that same evening, which is an honor we’ll never fully comprehend.

We cannot say thank you enough to everyone who spent the day with us! Whether you volunteered, sponsored the event, or joined us for golf, we are touched to see our community show up for this worthy organization.
