Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We got so lucky to be able to purchase a Custom One home. We couldn’t be happier with the service we have received since moving in. Jim has been such a pleasure to work with and is always responsive and timely whenever something comes up that we need assistance with. We’ve also had great experiences with every business/contractor Custom One works with. The whole team is friendly and wants what’s best for their customers!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am so happy and already feeling at home in my new Lake Home/Cabin in Northwestern Wisconsin. The entire process was seamless, thanks to the entire staff at Custom One Homes. They kept in close contact step by step with me. They showed great intent that we were satisfied with the results of each phase of construction and corrected any concerns we had including making suggestions that we might like better than what the plans and specifications showed.
The care, quality, attention and professionalism Custom One Homes provided is unmatched!
I would not hesitate to recommend Custom One Homes to anyone wanting or thinking about a new home or cabin or renovating an existing property.

A Very Happy Custom One Client

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Can’t say enough about the quality that Custom One Homes build. I am in a townhouse after 41 years in a home my husband and I built. After my husband passed it was time to move and the journey although difficult has been so positive because of all the people at Custom One Homes. They answer their phones and tackle any issue you might have. Five Stars for all of them.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 5 stars doesn’t quite capture how much we loved working with Custom One!

Custom One recently completed our porch, and it has become our favorite room in the entire house. What started out feeling a little like “Mission Impossible” turned into a space we absolutely love — thanks to their creativity, craftsmanship, and willingness to find solutions when we weren’t sure there was a way forward. They even submitted the project for an award, which made us smile because we think it deserves one!

What really stood out was how much they cared. From design through production and all the many decisions in between, their team was thoughtful, thorough, disciplined, and incredibly communicative. We’ve done plenty of projects on our house, and honestly, we wish every contractor worked this way.

Ana was amazing — responsive, proactive, and always on top of our requests. She helped us troubleshoot with vendors right through the finish line. The financial side was equally impressive: budgets, change orders, adjustments, and expectations were always transparent and communicated clearly and on time.

Hogan was a dream to work with on the production side and even helped us tackle a few other handyman projects around the house. And the crew itself was fantastic. They were respectful of our home, incredibly efficient, and somehow managed to get a tremendous amount done without disrupting our lives.

We couldn’t recommend Custom One more highly. If you’re considering a project that matters to you and want to know you’ll be in good hands, hire these people. You’ll be treated like royalty.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently completed a kitchen remodel with Custom One, and overall we're thrilled with the result. Like any project of this scope there were some bumps along the way, but the team's response to them made all the difference.

Hogan, our project manager, was responsive and straightforward, and consistently went to bat for us to make sure things got done right. Our designer, Ana, brought great ideas and stayed engaged through some tricky decisions. When something didn't go as planned, this team owned it and fixed it — that kind of collaboration is what made the project a success.

Highly recommend Custom One, and especially this team, to anyone considering a remodel.

WE LOVE Custom One Renovation! Before and after is below - we had water damage in our original bathroom, lots of wear and tear on our cabinetry. Custom One brought a designer to the table who came up with a brilliant idea to open our space, we worked with vendors who were responsive, and the communication was fabulous. Truly a joy: a contractor who over-communicates, who fixes issues as they come up, who spots problems before I even imagined it was a problem. The attention to detail and quality here is like nothing I've ever experienced. From the initial project design, to every step of the permitting process, to absolute perfection in performance. Have you ever done a renovation and felt like it was a joy? I have!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. "Our experience working with the Custom One team was amazing! Our old kitchen was 20 years old with failing cabinets and cracked counters, so we desperately needed a change focused on function, style, and durability. They took our vision and made it a reality. Anna, our Renovation Design Specialist, was amazing—she exceeded all expectations and made us feel so comfortable with our decisions, even when we were feeling unsure. Hogan, our Project Manager, was unbelievable; his communication was top-tier, and he didn’t miss a single deadline! The new classic, social layout features a massive center island, a wine cooler, and better appliance space where our family loves to gather. Guests constantly comment that the impact is spectacular. As homeowners, we cannot recommend them enough!"

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Recently finished a renovation to move the laundry upstairs and add some space to our eating area. Custom One was a pleasure to work with, provided quality workmanship, and made our vision come true. Anna provided great insight and feedback during the design phase and Hogan assured the plan was implemented correctly. I would not hesitate to recommend Customer One to do your project!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We just wrapped up a four month remodeling project with Custom One. It included: five sets of custom cabinetry, ceiling texture, paint, new floors/carpets throughout the house, two completely new bathrooms, a garage refresh (doors, heater, floors), new doors, trim, casing, lighting, and lots of other small details. From the beginning they were incredibly responsive, communicative, and detail-oriented. They guided us through decision-making with helpful information, provided an in-house designer who made suggestions that truly tied the whole house together, and got each phase of the project done either on time or ahead of schedule. When we came across obstacles they came up with creative solutions and frequently went above and beyond their contracted responsibilities. The people were very kind and easy to get along with; you can tell they care about their job and work very hard. We considered our home to be a remodeling challenge with each room having its own unique scope and we came away with a home that was cohesive and purposeful in its design. We could not have done that without the amazing work of Custom One and their top of the line contractors. Pick them.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an excellent experience with Custom One. From the initial design process to the final walkthrough, everything was seamless and well organized. The project stayed on schedule, the job site was always clean, and every contractor we worked with was professional, polite, and a pleasure to have in our home.

Hogan was fantastic to work with and consistently kept us informed on where things stood throughout the process. Olivia was wonderful during the design phase—she offered great recommendations and was quick to pivot and update renderings whenever we changed our minds. Reid truly went above and beyond, even helping with cabinet lighting that wasn’t part of the original scope and taking extra time to ensure everything turned out perfectly.

The final result is absolutely beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier. We highly recommend Custom One to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship and an exceptional overall experience.

We chose Custom One after considering a handful of similar category remodelers. The reason we chose COR was because of the people. And in the end, the reason I am giving the experience 5 stars is because of the people. Leah Kovar was our designer. Her work is innovative and she was so fun and easy to work with. A true gem. John Miller - I knew it would get done if John was involved. This was a large project; an addition, gut remodel kitchen, full bath, laundry room, entry and all new windows and doors. The finished project is beautiful. The construction is quality and we came in on budget. We were not without issues, but in the end, everything was completed and I never once worried they wouldn’t make it right.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Chad Christensen and Custom One are the best! Chad’s communication and follow through are outstanding. My husband and I worked seamlessly with Chad for our home. I had the privilege of working with Chad again for my mother’s home. With many insurance frustrations to deal with at my mom’s property, Chad was a rock star! He was patient, detailed, an advocate, and ultimately helped us to get her claim handled. The work done by Custom One and their team on both jobs was high quality, timely, and dedicated to excellence.

We worked with Chad and his team this spring and they built us a high quality deck that we are excited to use for years to come!! From the demo of our old deck, to the building of the new one, the entire project was efficient and they made sure we stayed in formed of the design, the progress, and any detail that came along with the project. 5 stars. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Outstanding experience in getting roof replaced. Chad, Custom One Exterior Specialist worked with two assessors to make sure that the true value of the shingles was represented in the assessment, even after the assessment was completed Chad submitted the shingle for analysis to prove that the shingles were a higher class and was able to get a second payout. Chad patiently reviewed our choices for new shingles and advised on best option. He also made sure that the project would start on the promise date and that the crew would maintain a high standard of install and clean up. The project was completed on time and within the budget he promised.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Working with the team at Custom One was an absolute pleasure! In all my years (3 decades) of working with contractors and designers and project managers in the industry, the professionals at Custom One were, BY FAR, the absolute best. They worked amazingly as a team, and were able provide quick, creative, and efficient solutions to any issues encountered during the build process. I can't recommend the Team enough. I wouldn't consider working with any other group in Minnesota for any futrure needs. Absolutely top-tier, personalized, and professional service by a Team of amazing humans!
